Urban Decay Loose Pigments

Urban Decay is one of my new addictions. They have great make-up and fantastic colors. You'll probably see more reviews about this brand. It is pricey but it is seriously worth it. I just discovered a product called Loose Pigments. Its a powder that you wear as an eye shadow. They have over five bright colors. They are made from natural mineral powders which is a big plus! It also comes in a no-spill jar so if it tips over nothing will spill out. You can use this powder on top of another eye shadow or alone. Its packed with shimmer. The color I bought is called Smog. Its a light brown. They cost twenty dollars but it lasts a long time and its really good quality. Another thing I love about Loose Pigments is it doesn't crease and it stays on your eyes. You can even put a little bit under your eyes to make them sparkle! To learn more about them visit Urban Decay!

Hint Water.

I've been trying to be healthier. I watch what I eat and drink. I've noticed that a lot of the calories I take in are from what I drink. I try to drink what but after a while I get sick of the bland taste. So when I was at the grocery store I was looking for flavored water and I found Hint Water. I checked the back of the bottle to see the nutrition label and it has zero calories, sugar, and sodium. So its really good for you. All the other flavored water's I've tried either have a lot of sugar in them, taste bad, or leave a bad after taste. Hint Water has many flavors. The flavor I tried was Raspberry-lime. When I took my first sip it had enough flavor that wasn't over-powering. I waited a while to see if there was an after taste but there wasn't! I was really happy to finally find a flavored water that tasted good. Hint Water has many different flavors, like Mango Grapefruit, Pomegranate-Tangerine, Lime, Raspberry-Lime, Peppermint, Pear, Tropical Punch, Strawberry Kiwi, and Cucumber. So you have a lot to choose from. There is also no sweeteners added so the flavor you taste is the real fruit. Also the bottle and the label are really unique. The label features a picture real fruit. This flavored water has been featured in magazines like Parents, Weight Watchers, Business Weekly, Prevention, and many more! To learn more about it click here! You can find it at your local grocery stores!

Feeling Creative?

I've been thinking about buying a new perfume. I wanted something exotic that no one has ever smelt. I was doing some research and I found out that it costs less to make your own perfume than to buy a name brand one. It just needs some time to sit to develop smell. That's the only downside. Other than that, it sounds like a lot of fun to make. I thought that this would be a great way to find your own zesty scent. You get to pick out the scents you want in it, then you can buy a bottle to put it in and decorate it. You can find the essential oils at craft stores like Michaels, Walmart, and online! Here are the instructions on how to make your own perfume!

Things You’ll Need:

  • Alcohol
  • Glass vials
  • Glass bottles
  • Non-metallic stirrer
  • Four to six different essential oils
  • Glass dropper
  • Coffee filter
Step1
Learn about the four elements (notes) of perfume: base, middle, top and bridge notes.

Step2
Choose a base note for your perfume. Base notes remain on your skin the longest and will become stronger as the other notes fade. Some suggested base notes include cinnamon, patchouli or vanilla.

Step3
Choose a middle note for your perfume. They become evident after the top scent has faded, usually half an hour after applying the perfume. Some good middle notes are nutmeg, geranium and ylang-ylang.

Step4
Choose a top note for your perfume. This is the first, most evident scent when you first apply the perfume. Citrus and floral scents make good top notes.

Step5
Choose a bridge note for your perfume. This is a scent that will tie the others together. Some popular bridge oils are vanilla and lavender.

Step6
Assemble your ingredients and equipment. Use pure essential oils if you can get them.

Step7
Using a glass dropper, dispense several drops of your base note into a glass perfume vial. Add the other notes a few drops at a time, sniffing after each addition until you reach a balance that you like. Use at least 25 drops total among all the oils.

Step8
Add 2½ ounces of pure grain alcohol to the mixture. Stopper the bottle.

Step9
Shake vigorously for several minutes to mix the ingredients.

Step10
Set the perfume in a cool, dark place for at least 48 hours. The longer it mixes, the stronger your perfume will be.

Step11
Add two tablespoons of spring water and stir with a non-metallic stirrer.

Step12
Pour the mixture through a coffee filter into your perfume bottle and wear as desired.

Clean and Clear Soft Day Moisturizer.

As you all may of noticed I already did a post on Clean and Clear Soft In-Shower Facial. Since I loved that product so much I decided to try the Day Moisturizer. I loved this product the minute I pumped some into my hand. The bottle is awesome and has an easy pump. Once I put it on my face my face felt fresh and renewed. It felt so soft and not all gooey like some moisturizers make your face feel. It also has SPF 15 in it so it really helps protect you from the sun. It costs about seven dollars and you can find anywhere they sell face wash products. I really recommend this product because its good for your face and it feels good! Have a fresh new day!

Make-up without Cruelty!

I have always loved animals and I am always looking at the make-up products I buy to make sure they aren't tested on animals. I thought that today I should share ways to help you become more aware of animal testing. I have many websites that I will post below about what companies that do not test on animals. There will also be a link to print out a pocket guide for friendly ways to help and look out for not so friendly companies. I really hope that more people will get involved and help! Remember there is NO law that states companies have to test their products on animals. There are a lot more humane ways. The more people that boycott companies that test on animals the more companies that will convert to more humane ways.Thank you so much for even reading this.

Here is a list of some of the main companies that do not test on animals:
(These are some of the few companies listed^^)

  • Alba Naturals
  • Almay (Revlon)
  • Aunt Bee's Skin Care
  • Aveda
  • Avon
  • Bare Essentials
  • Bath and Body Works
  • Beauty Without Cruelty
  • Beehive Botanicals
  • The Body Shop
  • Bonne Bell
  • Clinique

  • ...and many, many more!

Montagne Jeunesse Chocolate Face Mask.

Yeah that's right, I said CHOCOLATE mask! This is the one way to treat your self to a guilt-free treat! It has the smell, look, and feel of chocolate! Plus it even tastes like it. (A little got in my mouth by accident so don't think I'm a freak ha ha!) You may have seen my other post on a different Montagne Jeunesse Mask saying that I was going to review this product next. Well here's the review! As soon as I tore the package open I smelt the delicious aroma that filled my nose. The package contains a healthy heaping of this chocolaty mask. You apply to your face, then sit back and relax. Its best if you do the mask in the bath. It is messy but it is easy to clean up. When I was relaxing in the tub I lite a candle that smelled like vanilla caramel. This combined all the scents into what smelled like an ice cream sundae! I highly recommend lighting a vanilla candle while using the mask. Once you've had it on for ten to fifteen minutes or until its hard rinse it off. If you don't use all the package the first time, do what I did and put the packet in a zip lock bag to keep it fresh for next time. Once I got out of the bath tub I dried my face and I still smelled the chocolate! It was fantastic. The package of the face mask costs one to two dollars. (Depends on what store you go to.) You can find this mask at places like Walgreen's, Walmart, Ulta, and CVS pharmacy. Have a delicious day...

Target Re-usable Bags.

Hello everyone. I found a new cute way to go green! They are Target's Re-usable bags. The are only one dollar! They have a cute design of birds sitting on a tree with Target symbols all over it. Its made from a good, sturdy material. They fold up and turn into a what looks like a zipped up wallet. They are small enough to fit in a purse! I like to take mine to the mall in my purse so when I buy something I just unfold it and put my stuff in it! I highly recommend this bag to people who want to help the environment! Have a beautiful day!
